Call for Papers

The 8th International Conference of the French Association of Experimental Economics  (ASFEE), will be organized by the Center of Research in Economics and Management (CREM (UMR CNRS 6211) and the Department of Economics, University of Rennes 1, (Rennes, France), on June 8-9, 2017
The conference will provide an opportunity for researchers to present results of laboratory experiments and field experiments. It will cover all topics regarding behavioral and experimental economics as decision theory, game theory, institutions and markets, neuro‐economics, economic psychology, among others. Theoretical papers explicitly dealing with experimental/behavioral issues are also welcome.
The 2016 Conference in ESSEC, Cergy Pontoise, Paris, attracted about 120 scholars from many countries.

Location

The Conference will take place at the Faculty of Economics,
7 place Hoche, CS 86514 - 35065 Rennes Cedex - Brittany, France.
The Faculty is located in the core center of the city of Rennes, directly connected to the train station by a metro station close to it. Lunches will be provided at the Faculty. A special event – Dinner at the Chateau d’Apigné – is scheduled for Thursday evening.

You are invited to submit an extended abstract no later than March 31st, 2017, on the website: http://asfee2017.sciencesconf.org

Important dates

  • Extended abstract Submission: March 31st, 2017.
  • Decisions on acceptance: May 2nd, 2017.
  • Registration: from May 2nd to May 26th, 2017.

The distinguished keynote speakers for the 2017 Conference are : 

  • Professor Amnon Rapoport (University of California at Riverside)
  • Professor Lisa Rutström (Georgia State University).

Accommodation

Organizers recommend to participants to book their room in Rennes hotels (a list of hotels at walking distance from the Faculty is provided on the conference website).

 

Asfee Prizes

Two special Prizes will be awarded in Rennes:

The ASFEE 2017 Prize for the best paper presented by a young economist,
granted to a conference speaker aged no more than 33 years old.
The winner will be offered the possibility to publish his paper in Theory and Decision.

The Young Researcher Prize 2017, created in Rennes, will be the best experimental project poster for a PHd student,
consisting in a monetary prize, and computer and logistic assistance for implementing the experiment.

Details regarding these two prizes are given on the conference website. The ASFEE 2016 Prize will be awarded during the 2017 ASFEE Conference at Rennes.
